together. >> could be. it's dependent on what the discussion reveals. who killed a 19-year-old woman and buried her here in a shallow grave in a corn field in upper montgomery county. >> reporter: six months after a hunter found the body, police are still looking for answers and new tonight they are still looking for two of her associates. shannon cat wins and casey boon. they think they may have seen taylor in the hours before she died. there is a $1,000 reward for information in the case and her brother is pleading for someone to come forward. >> she was such a beautiful person. >> the man suspected of stabbing three people in thesberg area facing more charges tonight. elias abuelazam entered not guilty pleas and four charges of attempted murder. he's also suspected of stabbing somebody in ohio. he was already facing an attempted murder charge in

michigan. jurors in california watched a video of the man accused of killing l.a. angels pitcher vizio, which he admits he did a horrible thing. he admitted to killing nick adenhart in a drunk driving accident. gallo said the entire night was a big blur and didn't remember how the accident happened. a young maryland politician is fighting for her life. maryland state police say the driver of this cadillac escalade hit natasha pettygrew on sunday morning while she was riding her bike near prince george's community college. she is the green party candidate running in november. the driver thought she hit a an -- an animal and kept right on going, even though the bicycles with lodged under her suv.

a ambition to put the cell phone down for teen-agers might not be working. peggy fox spoke with teen-agers from fairfax who don't think texting and driving is all that bad. >> reporter: on any busy road you can watch drivers texting behind the wheel. like this man who is at a light and doesn't even look up when he starts moving forward. and now new worry that's young people are not getting the message that it's dangerous. >> you do it while you are driving? >> yeah. >> moving? >> i'm good at using the knee. >> you're none honest man. >> i know it's bad. i know it's terrible. sometimes i probably need to turn off my phone, i know. >> reporter: out of four george mason college students randomly chosen, two say they do not text. >> it takes a second to get in an accident. >> if i hear my phone go off, i'll wait until i stop. >> reporter: one admitted he got into an accident while texting. >> i was trying to rush and let someone know i was going to be

late so it just kind of added on to everything. >> reporter: they all felt driving wife intoxicate -- driving while intoxicating is worst, but it's just as dangerous according to research. >> the best thing to do is turn it off while driving or put your phone on silent. and now you can down loan an app which puts it on silent and sends the sender a message you are driving. >> if you are on a cell phone and dialing a number and texting a message within five seconds while you are driving, the 4,000-pound vehicle that you are driving goes the length of a football field, when you are not paying attention. >> reporter: ray la hood is hosting the second annual distracted driving summit tomorrow. the company called text kills which has the new app will be there and so will family members of victims who have been killed because of someone texting while driving. in fairfax, peggy fox, 9 news now.

out to 7100, still about a 20 minute drive. and finally over 267, the dulles toll road. a lot of congestion around tysons corner but breaking up nicely at hunter mill and smooth sailing out to the dulles airport. back to you. we have another commuter alert for you tonight about the douglas bridge. after being closed all weekend long, now the bridge will be closed every night between now and september 30th, still part of the structural repair work. tonight, tomorrow night, wednesday and saturday night and then next monday through wednesday night, the span will close from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. thursday and sunday the hour are 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on friday night 11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. no traffic on the douglas. that work is all weather permitting. but if the weather is anything like today, that won't be a problem. let's get out to topper on the terrace with your forecast first. >> just spectacular. temperatures today about average. and low humidity. a great evening.

and create hundreds of thousands of new jobs, too. jobs that america could really use right now. for american jobs, tell your senators to pass a renewable electricity standard today. commuter trains are moving through harlem again tonight but take a look at what it was looking like around noon today. a massive fire, huge flames and you see all of the thick black smoke filling the air right under the 138th street lift bridge. now the trains between manhattan and new york's northern suburbs had to be held up for two hours. fortunately nobody was hurt. well if taking the train to dulles airport may not get you as close to the terminal as we all thought and hopes.

the metropolitan transportation said moving it away would save $600 million. the plan is to figure out how to say on the dulles rail project. as for the airport authority, there may be trouble out there. two senators are calling for hearings into the agency, it's finances and how it runs reagan national which we're looking at live even as we speak. you see their a bit upset about the plans to increase the number of long haul flights and those plans have been held up. the airport authority argues it would hurt traffic at dulles which would impact funding for the metro extension and reagan national could not handle the  extra security, the parking and baggage handling for the longer flights. i, for one, love to head out on my bike when the weather is nice. but that two-wheeled transportation can be pricey. and that is one of the reasons d.c. and arlington have launched the country's largest bike sharing system and they did it today. capital bike share is putting 1100 bikes and rental stations

back now with the health alert that could make a huge difference in the lives of some breast cancer patients. new research show that's some patients may do just as well with a less invasive form of surgery. now most patients with breast cancer opt for aggressive treatment that removes all of the lymph nodes, but today's study finds that in the early stages of breast cancer,

removing just the effected nodes can be just as effective. so far this season five nfl players have been sidelined with concussions, four of them in the first week of the season. and they are some of the 3.8 million sports-related concussions that the centers for disease logs every day in this country. toad the d.c. counsel said enough is enough. >> if you don't know the signs, you don't pick up what you need to do and know. so now education is a big component. >> harry thomas and phil mendelson will introduce its athletic concussion act tomorrow. that requires any young athlete to be removed from play after a suspected concussion and only be able to come back after being cleared by a licensed medical professional. several other states, including virginia, already have similar laws. well that jolt of jo in the morning or soda in the afternoon can be the pick me up you need, but is the caffeine content enough to lead you to

chance for showers and storms each of those days. few and far between, but at least the possibility. let's break down tomorrow. a sweater, sweatshirt, something in the morning. 59 to start, cool. and we're talking upper 40s in the suburbs. mid-70s by lunchtime. and near 80 into the evening hours tomorrow. right now it's still mild. 76 downtown. 73 in manassas. 75 insberg. i'm not believing that 66 in gaithersburg. 70 up in frederick. so temperatures in the low to mid-70s. for tonight it will fall like a stone. clear and almost chilly. 47 to 57 with light winds. and again the sun is already down. lows tonight, plenty of 40s. 48 in gaithersburg, 49 in rockvillement one of our colder nights really. 57 downtown. 50 in bowie. out to the west, 49 in sterling and 48 in leesberg. so a sweater in the morning, at least for the big kids. sunny and a chilly start. 40s and 50s. winds out of the southeast at

10. and by afternoon, mostly sunny, spectacular again. high temperatures near 80 and winds southeasterly at about 10. next seven days: 80 tomorrow, and fall arrives on wednesday at 11:09. it will feel more like summer into thursday and friday. upper 80s on wednesday, maybe a shower or storm late. thursday near 90, maybe a shower. friday around 90, maybe a shower overnight on friday but that's not much of a chance. and then nice over the weekend again. low 80s on saturday and back into the upper 70s sunday and monday of next week. >> looks nice, topper. thank you very much. from our weird news file there are some dances out there so tough and complicated, so athletically demanding, you watch in amazement as some superstar get it's on. this would not be one of those. to cincinnati where they play better football than in baltimore. that's right, i said it. and apparently the dancing ability is questionable. not the enshoes -- enthusiasm. thousands came out to do this -- the chicken dance.

storming on to a school bus and threatened the kids who picked on his daughter who has m.s. i'm not saying he did the right thing, but i understand. one reaction, i was teased in school. my reaction is you go sir. and he reacted from the gut. maybe it was too strong but somebody needs to put the bullies in their prices. i would be interested to see what happened to them. and chris in annandale is cheering for the father. he went to the authorities and they did nothing. and that says a lot about the relationship with her, that she would feel comfortable to talk to him about it. they should suspend the boy that did it. and today joins has apologized for what he called the inappropriate use of language but he could not stand by and watch his daughter suffer. so no matter what happens, the little girl will never forget that dad was willing to go to
